Tesco teamed up with Groundwork to launch its community funding scheme, which sees grants of £4,000, £2,000 and £1,000 – raised from carrier bag sales in Tesco stores - being awarded to local community projects.

Three groups in every Tesco region have been shortlisted to receive the cash award and shoppers are being invited to head along to Tesco stores to vote for who they think should take away the top grant.

The Samee Charity is one of the groups shortlisted. - "Here at The Samee Charity we're thrilled to be included & really hope Tesco shoppers will like our project enough to vote for us - So fingers crossed !!"

Tesco’s Bags of Help project has already delivered over £33 million to more than 6,400 projects up and down the UK. Tesco customers get the chance to vote for three different groups every time they shop. Every other month, when votes are collected, three groups in each of Tesco’s regions will be awarded funding.

Alec Brown, Head of Community at Tesco, said:  “We are absolutely delighted to open the voting for September and October. There are some fantastic projects on the shortlists and we can’t wait to see these come to life in hundreds of communities.”

Samee – Out here in the field . . .

When it comes to help & support for all of our clients Samee goes the extra mile & even likes the hands on approach to support the cause.

Even the Boss likes to get out there in the field & pitch in . . .

Samee - In the Field

The Samee Project – In the Field at a fundraising & awareness event organized by The Rotary Club

At this point it was not intense, but the setting up was done ready to meet the hoards of visitors to the stand . . . sadly Samee was so keen to go meet & greet her fans but had not checked the weather forecast before rushing out the door . . .

Samee - Intense In the Field Now it got In Tents – Thanks to a Rotary Club member who was kind enough to go home to bring it back for Samee & even set it up . . .

Sam even enlisted the help of “Baba O’Riley” to hold the bucket – while she went for a bacon butty & a latte

The Big Apple

The Samee Project is here to help & assist everyone with their New Business project – as we want everybody to have an equal opportunity with starting out, all of our start-ups deserve a bite of the cherry.
We try our best to help with a good opportunity or novel idea you’ve come across that isn’t available to everyone.
If you have an idea that has the potential to be profitable, we can help with a business plan, cash flow forecast & more importantly a personal survival budget, sometimes people get so caught up with a new business idea that they completely forget about this one – but strangely enough this is the most important aspect of it all. What is the point of starting your epic voyage if you are never going to make enough money each month to survive.
The Big Apple & Samee

Here at Samee we always do our best to meet with our clients at a convenient location if you are unable to come to our office –

Samee even went to ‘The Big Apple‘ to meet up with one . . .

“Pretty Mad” to wear Branded Clothing . . .

So, as every good business owner knows, having clothing with your branding on is the way forward …. So off I go to a local t-shirt printer!

So far, so good … yes I would like three t-shirts – one for me and two others, yes all small (although one member of the team isn’t quite a small ….!!) and we just want the company name on them in big pink letters!  Cheap, cheerful and effective!

The team are very excited about the new t-shirts  … NOT …. “They are horrible”, “Really?” and “why…?”  were just 3 of the comments I received when handing them out … but as the owner of the business, I could see the benefit  of them.  FREE advertising for a start – just think of all those people looking at you and remembering the company name . . .

After much discussion, and a bottle of wine each, they were tried on and it was agreed they would be worn.   Got to love bribery . . .

Anyway, at the next exhibition we  attended, my not-so-small child came too and there wasn’t enough t-shirts to go round, so I gave her mine to wear ….. yep, everyone was happy about that  … NOT!!!

But …  then I noticed everyone pointing at my daughter … “see,” I said to my manager, “the t-shirts do work – look how everyone is looking at Ro – we are going to be soooooo busy .”

Then she turned round …. And I could see what everyone was pointing at . . . perhaps corporate clothing and children is NOT the way forward . . .
