The Samee Charity was set up to help you make informed decisions about your life & possible self employment opportunities available to you. We have been given many opportunities for training and support, and now we would like to help you too.

So relax, enjoy our site, learn from our blog (which offers real life experiences and a few laughs), meet our colleagues and remember to ask questions, lots of questions.

Talking of which, there is never a daft question … trust me … I have probably already asked it! And, chances are, someone else wants to know the same thing and feels glad that you asked it and got the answer.

Just remember, that we are here to support you, so please make use of us. If we don’t know the answer directly, we will find someone who does.

So what can we offer . . .

Employment Centre

We have built a safe space just for you. We have free internet, drinks and other things to help you on your journey. We can print your cv off, help you with applying for a job or give you that practice interview. We can work on your skills, offer you some voluntary work and even help you network!

Self-Employment Support

If you are thinking about going self-employed or are applying for a job that comes with a self-employed contract, we can help. We will make sure you understand the pros and cons, how to set a personal budget and how to organise yourself. We will work with you to ensure that you understand tax, national insurance and, most importantly, bookkeeping.

Skills

What skills have you got … what are your strengths. We will work through your skill set to make sure that you shine! Many people work to their negatives, but let us show you what a success you are.

Interview Techniques

There are many different types of interview now. Let us offer you a workshop on the different styles so that you have a basic knowledge of what is expected of you. We can give you a taster of each one with our mentors, so that you get to have a practice before you attend the real one.
