Support for students with special educational needs and/or disabilities by SAMEE Charity
With thanks to Thomas Wall Trust Sponsorship we are able to teach 90 students with special educational needs and/or disabilities valuable self-employment skills that are directly transferable to the world of work.
The funding will help us run our innovative WISE SEND project Animal Park enterprise skills day at two SEND schools in Dorset and Somerset:
- Linwood School in Bournemouth
- Fairmead School in Yeovil
The kind support from Thomas Wall Trust has also provided superb personal development opportunities to 9 of our volunteer business mentors.
‘The students really enjoyed working with the team from the SAMEE charity. The activities were pitched perfectly to their level and the organisers had the right tone and pace for the sessions. The children really enjoyed the change of activities and were able to get involved in lots of different aspects of the day. One of the best parts of the day for the children was making animal masks and taking part in the animal parade. They thoroughly enjoyed making animal noises around the track.’

Thomas Wall Trust
created his Trust in 1920 for the
“encouragement and assistance of educational work
and social service”.
Today, the Trust continues to assist in these areas by providing grants to individuals and organisations.
