ESFA Sponsorship

With thanks to an ESFA Training Grant we are able to support 50 unemployed single parents who live in the Bournemouth and Poole postcodes of BH1 to BH17.

Our Leap Into Work project focuses on developing the skills and aspirations of unemployed lone parents interested in exploring non-traditional forms of employment.

The funding will help us offer 150 hours of specialist personal guidance, plus the invaluable support from ESFA has also provided superb personal development opportunities to 9 of our volunteer business mentors.

SAMEE Charity receives ESFA Training Grant

The ESFA brings together the former responsibilities of the Education Funding Agency (EFA) and Skills Funding Agency (SFA) to create a single agency accountable for funding education and skills for children, young people and adults.

The ESFA:

  • Is accountable for £58 billion of funding for the education and training sector, providing assurance that public funds are properly spent, achieves value for money for the tax payer and delivers the policies and priorities set by the Secretary of State
  • Regulates academies, further education and sixth-form colleges, and training providers
  • Delivers major projects and operates key services in the education and skills sector, such as school capital programmes, the National Careers Service, the National Apprenticeship Service and the Learning Records Service
