Derek started volunteering after retiring from the corporate world, he supports two organisations SAMEE where he is a Trustee & Mentor and Dorset Business Mentors an organisation funded primarily by the Council providing volunteer business Mentors to established Dorset based businesses’ who are seeking strategic & tactical independent guidance.

Derek has significant experience of managing teams in both the S&ME and Multi-National sectors. From small, focused sales teams through to several hundred sales and operational staff.
He has held senior positions including, Sales Director, Managing Director (own business), General Manager & Head of Commercial

Over his career he has developed skills and gained experience of many aspects of business including sales, operations, legal & commercial and P&L accountability
