SAMEE Charity support for students with special educational needs and/or disabilities
With thanks to Boshier Hinton Foundation Sponsorship we are able to teach 45 students with special educational needs and/or disabilities valuable self-employment skills that are directly transferable to the world of work.
The funding will help us run our innovative WISE SEND project Animal Park enterprise skills day at three SEND schools in West Dorset:
- Yewstock school in Sturminster Newto
- Wyvern Academy in Weymouth
- Mountjoy school in Beaminster
The kind support from Boshier Hinton Foundation has also provided superb personal development opportunities to 9 of our volunteer business mentors.
‘We would like to thank you for coming to Yewstock yesterday to work with our Key Stage 4 students. It was a great day and the students learned so much! We are very grateful for your generosity. These sessions are so important to support our young people with broadening their horizons, thinking outside the box/everyday classroom setting and preparing for a meaningful adulthood. We enjoyed having you at our school once again!’

The purpose of this Charity is to identify areas of need and make appropriate grants, where possible.
